Canmedical.ca, and  VEEN Canada, help veterinarians and related industries purchase both new and used equipment. The business had been juggling multiple Canadian websites, which made updates difficult and inconsistent. Their primary goal was to streamline operations, increase online visibility, and generate more leads from their website. CyberCletch redesigned and consolidated the sites into a single platform, simplified updates through a retainer plan, and added ongoing promotional support—transforming the website into a reliable sales tool.

Before:
The client was managing multiple sites with limited staff resources. Updates were slow, used equipment wasn’t getting posted regularly, and prospective clients weren’t being notified in time. As a result, sales opportunities were lost and lead flow was inconsistent.

After:
We redesigned the Canadian site, combining two websites into one cohesive platform. This reduced costs, simplified updates, and improved usability for both staff and visitors. We also integrated regular email newsletter notifications for subscribers interested in used equipment, improving communication and engagement. The new site is professional, easier to manage, and better aligned with the company’s goals.

Canmedical Home page before the website redesign

The original Canmedical and VEEN Canada websites were built on a shoestring budget when WooCommerce was still new. The eCommerce platform was designed as a stand-alone product and didn’t integrate smoothly with many themes at the time, limiting design flexibility and functionality.

The redesigned home page presents a modern, professional storefront that clearly separates new and used equipment while streamlining navigation for buyers. Built on an updated WooCommerce framework, it integrates smoothly with the site’s theme and provides a faster, more reliable shopping experience.

Product pages suffered from inconsistent image sizes, creating a cluttered, unprofessional appearance. Limited search functionality made it difficult for visitors to find specific products or browse efficiently.

Each product image now displays at consistent dimensions, creating a clean, cohesive look that enhances credibility. Larger, more prominent buttons encourage visitors to click through for details, while the improved search function and product filters make it easy to browse by price, category, condition (new or used), or keyword.

The original VEEN Canada home page shared many of the same challenges as its sister site, VEEN America — limited search functionality, and a dated design. Managing updates across two separate sites was time-consuming, often leading to outdated listings.

We merged the new Canmedical products with the used VEEN Canada inventory to create one streamlined, easy-to-manage website. The redesigned VEEN Canada used product page now presents in a cohesive, modern layout. Visitors can easily browse, search, and compare equipment in one trusted location—saving time for both the business and their customers.

Canmedical aboutpage before the website redesign
Canmedical about page after the website redesign

The original About page offered only a brief text description outlining the types of products sold—ultrasounds, digital radiography, and autoclaves—with a single sentence noting Canmedical’s years in business. It lacked visuals, personality, and any real story behind the company, making it difficult for visitors to connect with the brand or trust its expertise.

We transformed the About page into a trust-building cornerstone for the site. By introducing the founder with a photo and short bio, visitors can now connect with the people behind the business. We also added a concise overview of both Canmedical and VEEN Canada to explain how the two brands work together, strengthening credibility and reinforcing the company’s long-standing reputation in the veterinary equipment industry.

Canmedical blog archive page after the website redesign

The original blog archive displayed only post titles and excerpts, creating a flat, text-heavy layout with no visual appeal. Without images or clear navigation, it was difficult for visitors to browse topics or feel inspired to read more.

The redesigned blog archive features visually engaging post cards with featured images, short excerpts, and clear “Read More” links. The new layout adds energy, improves readability, and encourages visitors to explore more articles—turning the blog into a valuable, user-friendly resource for veterinary professionals.

Testimonials shared the same layout as the blog, showing only an excerpt and requiring visitors to click through to read the full review. This made it harder for potential clients to quickly see the positive feedback that builds trust.

Testimonials are now displayed in a clean two-column card layout, each featuring a quote icon, full testimonial text, and the client’s name, business, and location. A subtle star rating and small graphic add visual appeal, making the section more engaging and immediately reinforcing credibility and trust.

Canmedical footer before the website redesign

The original footer was oversized and cluttered with a form, extra testimonials, and long blocks of text, which distracted from key information. Visitors had to scroll past unnecessary details to find contact information or next steps.

We streamlined the footer to highlight only the most important details—contact info, quick links, and essential navigation. A connected but visually distinct newsletter signup now appears across every page, encouraging visitors to subscribe for updates on new products and clinic liquidations through Constant Contact. The result is a cleaner, more efficient design that supports both usability and lead generation.

VEEN Canada Appraisal page after the website redesign

New site: An updated section was added for clients requesting equipment appraisals. The page explains the appraisal process, outlines what information to provide, and includes an easy-to-use contact link—making it simple for clinics to get accurate, professional valuations.

We introduced a modern accordion-style FAQ page that organizes common questions. Visitors can quickly expand questions to find answers without endless scrolling, creating a smoother, more intuitive browsing experience that saves time and reduces support inquiries.

Case Summary

Overview:

This client relationship began through a personal reconnection—Bob Simpson, owner of VEEN Canada, is the husband of one of Pat’s high school classmates. Over the years, CyberCletch has built multiple sites for his various businesses, establishing a long-term relationship of trust.

The biggest challenge Bob faced was bandwidth. Without staff dedicated to website updates, product listings and communications often fell behind. During discovery, we identified that consolidating the two Canadian sites into one would reduce workload and cost. We paired that with a retainer package so CyberCletch could take on the heavy lifting of product uploads, newsletters, and promotional posting.

Results:

Since launch, the website has seen measurable improvements:

By managing updates, hosting, maintenance, newsletters, and social promotion, CyberCletch allows VEEN Canada to focus on sales and client relationships instead of technical upkeep.

Conclusion:

The redesigned site gave Canmedical.ca a professional online presence that’s easier to maintain and more effective at generating leads. With a streamlined design, improved UX, and integrated marketing support, the site now represents the brand with clarity and credibility.

By handling the ongoing updates and promotions, CyberCletch empowered VEEN Canada to concentrate on growing its business while knowing their website and digital marketing were in expert hands.

"I have been working with Pat Williams of CyberCletch now for over 10 years and she has built 4 websites for me. She is really good at what she does! She is very skilled, and sensitive to the financial constraints on small businesses like mine. I own businesses in Canada and the US and she has done work for me in all my companies. Whenever anyone asks me about building a website I tell them about CyberCletch!"
